Tomorrow starts the beginning of a very normal week (get it, normal in Normal?). Unfortunately we mourned the loss of Jeff's uncle Jimmy last Sunday & Monday. Jimmy was Margie's brother and was such a beloved part of the family. We are so sorry that Reagan will not know him but we will be happy to share memories of him with her. We love you Uncle Jimmy!
After arriving home from Rockford, I took a much needed day off to get organized for our first trip as a trio to PA. We drove to O'Hare on Wednesday morning and realized right away what a fantastic traveler Reagan was going to be! After many trials and tribulations with United Airlines (ugh, they have NO customer service and we actually got pulled out of line because they had to load their "premier" customers first. No, seriously. We clearly had an infant in our arms and they pulled us OUT of line. Can you tell I'm disgusted?). Anyhoo, Reagan was a peach on the flight. She was SO excited to see Grandpa and Mimi! This was also her first time meeting Thomas, Marianne and Kyle! And I'm pretty sure they fell in love with her right away!
On Thursday, Jeff and I got some time alone and were able to visit Gettysburg. It was chilling to stand where Lincoln stood when he gave the Gettysburg address. Did you know that 51,000 men fell at Gettysburg, and the Civil War claimed 500,000?
On Friday we had a very laid back day. Of course we went to the Farmer's Market where Kelly and I indulged in hot ham & cheese pretzel logs. Mmmmm...one of my favorite foods. We spent a little time at the "Great" Baker's house and got Reagan into the pool for a bit. It was a tad chilly but we got some great pics of her!
Saturday was THE event that we had flown out to PA for! The Baker family reunion! Good times were had by all.....good conversation, ladder golf and of course, our little star, Reagan. This was her first time meeting the family. I think they liked her a little. :)
Sadly, we had to fly back today. Our little traveler was a little fussy but never cried on the plane. Many people complimented us on what a smiley & happy baby we have. I couldn't agree more! Next, on to the pics!
Grandpa & Mimi met us at the airport!
At the reunion!
Reagan and Great Aunt Marianne!
