Busy Weekend

We will have a short post today and a longer one later this week. We spent Saturday night in Chicago with some friends celebrating a birthday. Everyone had a a blast, Sarah and I even were able to dance a little bit together! Reagan spent the night with Grandma Candy and Poppa Bob and was an angel. She even slept until 6:30 this morning, which is 90 minutes later than she does at home. We will have to find out their secret.

We will have more posts out this week, but just wanted to create a small one and share this video. Reagan has been VERY talkative lately, usually right before bedtime. We captured about a minute and a half on video to share.

Brilliant speech! Very motivational! That's one of the cutest little voices I've ever heard. I need to figure out how to get that on my ipod.

Grandma Kitty will interpret Reagan's dissertation for you:
Well, it all started again this morning. I had an appointment with Mickey Mouse and I thought they weren't going to get me down in front of the TV in time. I was so concerned, I wet my diaper. I was thinking "since I can't talk, how am I going to get my concern across to them?" Then I thought, "I know! I'll whop the first one of the two of them that comes close enough with the wet diaper!" So, I did. I just went WHOP! They were both pretty surprised, but my plan failed. They just laughed and coo'd and talked about how cute it was. In spite of all, they managed to get me down there in time. I didn't miss Mickey or my bottle (all I ever get is soy milk and rice cereal...I'm humoring them until they figure out that what I really want is a chicken leg to gnaw on). They're actually really nice people, so I can hang on until they figure out the chicken leg thing and....cough! Uh-oh. Better stop thinking. It's making me cough.

I've heard that same speech at least a dozen times. However, I've never heard it told with such enthusiasm and conviction. And that eye contact is amazing!
