Another weekend passes and here I sit. Happy, content and very tired. This last week seems like such a blur! Tuesday was our big 4 month check-up as you can see from a previous post. Wednesday night I went to a friend's house to meet other mommy's my age with little ones! It was great to meet other mommy's but very hard to make conversation with them when there are 6 children under the age of 2 in the same house!
Our wonderful friend Tiffany gave us an excer-saucer this week that belonged to her little boy Drew. Reagan really likes it! Here is an adorable pic of her playing in it!
Then Friday came and I took the morning off work since our sitter was off that day. I had a great time hanging out with my baby girl. I am constantly amazed at how big she is getting. A few months ago I felt like time was never going to pass because I was so exhausted. Now here we are with a thriving (and incredibly awesome) little girl.
My mom came over Friday night and watched Reagan while we went to Lucca Grill with our friends Matt & Sarah. I told them that we would not be "those parents" and talk about our child all night, but it's inevitable. That's what our life is all about right now and I'm not sorry! :) By the way, we realized how old we all were when we went to Fat Jack's (one of my fave hangouts when I was twenty-something) and we chose to leave because the band was too loud and we couldn't talk! Oh, the good ole' days.
Reagan and I went to the Great Grandparents on Saturday and had some fun time with them. She loves to watch the fan in their kitchen go round and round and round. She must have been mad that we left because she was a PILL for the rest of the day. She did not want to be put down, laid down or looked at the wrong way, or else she would screech like a friggin owl. I mean, put-in-your-earplugs screeching. Jeff and I somehow managed to keep it together.
Today (Sunday) was such a blast! We went out to breakfast with the Greats, Grandpa, Mimi and U. Ken & A. Vicki. Reagan was NOT happy at the restaurant, so Mimi found a nice little coat closet to bounce Reagan in and she eventually fell into sleepy-land. We were also able to take an awesome walk with Grandpa and Mimi at the Lake! We tried to put sunglasses on the poor kid, but she was not having it. Luckily, Jeff snapped some quick pics and got this adorable pic of Granda and Reagan!
This was Reagan's first time in her stroller! She wasn't happy at first, but Grandpa did a couple of fast circles with the stroller and she was O-U-T! Warm sun, cool breeze...can't blame the kid for sleeping in that weather! Luckily, we did have some good awake time at their house and got this cute little picture!
We had a bit more screeching tonight but nothing compares to her talking. And talking. And talking. And talking. And talking. I actually had to turn the TV up to a volume of 68 to hear anything. Now, I love my child, but I also enjoy Rock of Love (tv show) and I think it's ok from time to time to try to drown out the chatter. Especially for a show that classy. :)
P.S. We have failed to continue our quote of the week over the last few weeks. However, I'd like to try and keep that tradition going by adding in a quote from Jeff on Valentine's Day. I'd like to do something fun on this post. I'd like you to read the quote below and then post a comment saying why you think Jeff would have said this quote. Should be fun. Please remember to leave out last names. We like for everyone to see the blog but don't want to get THAT personal with people we don't know.
Quote of the week: "They are clearly not Mormon."
